Terms of use

The rules for using EduMate Ghana. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

1. The service

EduMate provides AI tutoring, practice questions, games, study plans and related tools. The AI tutor is a learning aid: it can make mistakes, so check important answers with a teacher or textbook.

2. Accounts

  • Give accurate details and keep your password private.
  • Students under 18 need permission from a parent, guardian or school.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use EduMate to bully or harm others, to share unsafe or adult content, to cheat in a live examination, or to try to break or overload the service. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

4. Tokens and payments

  • Tokens pay for AI features. The token cost of each feature is shown in the app and on your Tokens page.
  • Free daily tokens refresh each day and cannot be carried over. Purchased tokens do not expire while your account is active.
  • Payments are processed by Hubtel. If you are charged but tokens are not credited, contact us with your payment reference and we will fix it or refund you.
  • Tokens have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. Gifted tokens cannot be reversed once sent.

5. School subscriptions

School plans are billed per term or year as shown on the pricing page. The school administrator manages which students and teachers have access.

6. Content

You keep ownership of work you upload. You allow us to process it to provide the service. EduMate's software, design and original learning content belong to EduMate Ghana. Past examination questions remain the property of their examining bodies.

7. Marketplace

Items sold by users in the marketplace are the seller's responsibility. We review listings but do not guarantee them.

8. Liability

We work hard to keep EduMate available and accurate, but we provide it “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for exam results.

9. Ending your account

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may close accounts that break these terms.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
